Blueberry Wheat
By Mike | June 9, 2007
I’m still a few weeks away from actually attempting to brew anything. I’ll be going on vacation next week and my plan is to start the weekend after I get back. Yeah I know. I’m a lazy slacker.
In the meantime I thought I would mention some of the beers I’ve sampled. Right now I’m drinking a Blueberry Wheat from the Sea Dog Brewing Company. I also picked up their IPA, but I haven’t tried it yet. The blueberry wheat was a complete impulse buy. I saw it and thought that I probably wouldn’t get many chances to try a blueberry flavored beer in my life so why not give it a try?
While it has a very strong blueberry aroma, the flavor is rather subtle and actually quite refreshing. Its not a beer I would order in a bar, or drink with any regularity but its the kind of beer that you might crave on hot day after working in your yard all day. If you’re interested, I got it at the local Trader Joes, so look there first.
