Almost Ready
By Mike | April 21, 2007
I’m almost ready to start brewing. By almost, I mean I finally read the beginner’s chapters of my brewing books. I still have to order all the supplies and everything, but at least I now know what I need. More or less.
Both books recommending starting with a hopped malt extract which seems a little like cheating to me. It’s like saying I’m going to make a pizza from scratch and then using store bought pizza sauce. On the other hand, they are the experts, and it probably makes sense to start simple for my first few attempts before I start getting too adventurous. I have plenty of time to work up to fancier concoctions.
So, now I need to find a place to purchase my supplies. There are a few stores within driving distance from me, but I’ll probably just purchase online. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know.
